Launch of Smugmug User Group (SMUG) - Hosted by the Bebbs

I'm not sure what it is with me and photography groups, I guess I just love socializing with other photographers, hehe. After attending last year's inaugrual Pictage User Group, last night I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of the Vancouver SMUG.

Hosted by the amazing Steve & Jen Bebb, their energy really helped get the group off to a great start. They presented a very cool Animoto based slideshow of their work and passed along some good insights from their 10 very busy & productive years in the industry (500 weddings, wow!).

It was also great to have Jeff Jochum in town for the launch. It's not often one gets to hang out and chat with the CMO of such a well-known company.

It was nice to meet some of the other wedding & portrait photographers in town, and I know this group is going to explode once the word gets out! Especially now that Steve & Jen challenged Jasmine Star and her Orange County SMUG ... things are going to get interesting in a hurry, and we'll all be the better for it, pushing each other to raise our game.
